In 2021, while on Fox News, Owens implied, without evidence, that the Capitol insurrection was a false flag operation by the Democrats, saying, “The Reichstag fire [is] happening all over again in America. In 2015, Owens supposedly left a “high-paying finance job” to start the website Degree 180, which offered consultation, production, and planning services. [1] The website included a blog, written by Owens, which frequently posted anti-conservative and anti-Trump content, including comments about Trump being racist and mocking Trump's penis size. [2][3] In a 2015 column that Owens wrote for the site, she criticized conservative Republicans, writing about the "bat-shit-crazy antics of the Republican Tea Party," adding, "The good news is, they will eventually die off (peacefully in their sleep, we hope), and then we can get right on with the OBVIOUS social change that needs to happen, IMMEDIATELY." The site reportedly shut down by the end of 2016, and Owens "came out" as a conservative on YouTube a few months later. [4][5][6][7][8]

In 2016, Owens wrote, "Call me weird, but personally, when it comes to my ovaries, I prefer to speak to my gynecologist. I don't think the leaders of the free world should have to be an expert on the issue, nor should they ever publicly voice their opinions." [1]
-
During a 2018 NBC interview, when asked about the 2016 election, Owens said, "Yeah, I didn't vote, exactly. This is the first time I've been politically inclined and active, and I think Donald Trump is a tremendous president. And I wanted to be educated. I wanted to do a deep dive before I started going out there and saying stuff as opposed to other people who mindlessly vote." [1]
-
Talking about the Covid-19 vaccine, Owens tweeted, "Not one person in my family will ever touch the Covid-19 vaccine. That is the decision that we have made, unabashedly, as a family... Medical freedom is an individual right that should never be infringed upon and any person who thinks otherwise has no place in our government.” [1]
-
In March 2022, with regards to the nomination Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, Owens tweeted, "Just making sure we are about to appoint a pedophile-apologist to the highest court in the land... because she's black." [1]

In a video under the heading “It’s okay to be normal,” Owens stated her opposition to the fat acceptance movement and said she “could not disagree with that more” because she is “so sick of women putting their cellulite on the internet.” She also complained about “the spectrum of freaks and people like Lena Dunham who constantly want to show you their fat rolls and cellulite.” [1]

[1][2] In response, people began posting Owens' private details online. [3] With scant evidence, Owens blamed the doxing on progressives involved in the Gamergate controversy. [4] After this, she earned the support of conservatives involved in the Gamergate controversy, including right-wing political commentators and Trump supporters Milo Yiannopoulos and Mike Cernovich. Subsequently Owens became a conservative, saying in 2017, "I became a conservative overnight ... I realized that liberals were actually the racists. Liberals were actually the trolls ... Social Autopsy is why I'm conservative". [5]

[1] She was responding to an audience member who asked for a "long-term prognosis" about the terms "globalism" and "nationalism", to which Owens replied, "I actually don't have any problems at all with the word "nationalism". I think that the definition gets poisoned by elitists that actually want globalism. Globalism is what I don't want. Whenever we say "nationalism" the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler. You know, [Hitler] was a national socialist, but if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine. The problem is that he wanted—he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German. Everybody to look a different way. That's not, to me, that's not nationalism. [2]
